Our intention

We want everyone to be able to read and use our street guides. We aim to follow widely recognised accessibility good practice, although we do not claim formal certification or full conformance with a specific standard.

What we have done

The website uses semantic headings and landmarks, a skip link to the main content, descriptive alternative text for photographs, labelled form fields with clear error messages, readable typography with generous spacing, sufficient colour contrast for body text, and layouts that adapt to phones, tablets and desktops. All navigation can be used with a keyboard.

Accessibility information in guides

Where we know about stairs, slopes, cobbles or crowds, our guides mention them in the At a Glance panel and Practical Tips. Conditions change, so please check with local sources.

Known limitations

Some photographs come from a third-party archive, and their descriptions are based on archive titles. Embedded external content, such as map links, is controlled by third parties.
